Taking into account the situation with COVID-19 epidemic, this year exhibition events held in autumn will have to implement a number of restrictions for visitors and exhibitors. However, both the former, and the latter agree that the industry needs as much support as never before, and exhibitions are one of the most effective tools for development of furniture and design spheres.
“For quite a long time the majority of our colleagues in the exhibition industry had no certainty if the exhibitions will be held in autumn. For a few months in conditions of strict quarantine limitations mass events were prohibited at all. When general European quarantine was announced, many of our foreign colleagues cancelled their events or postponed them to 2021 almost at once, because they are aimed at foreign stakeholders, whose participation due to restricted flights and trips has become quite an issue for almost a year. We negotiated for long with state authorities, colleagues from exhibition industry, business representatives, exhibitors in Ukraine, learned experience of local exhibitions in Poland, Ukraine and other countries and draw a conclusion that firstly, on condition of abiding by a number of anti-epidemic requirements (face masks, social distancing, limits on number of people who stay indoors at the same time, disinfectants, avoiding potential crowding of people) the exhibition is safe; and secondly, online format cannot solve all business tasks, moreover, not all companies and consumers are ready and want to switch to digital marketing and promotion. Therefore exhibitions are necessary as a business tool”, – says Yana Cherniavska, Director of Design Living Tendency. – “Our primary task today is to satisfy the need of our clients in live professional communication”.
According to the poll, which the management team of DLT held in the Telegram channel of its professional community 11% of companies have already decided that they will participate in exhibitions in autumn, and 30% will make their final decision in autumn. For both these groups we would like to emphasize that:
- The exhibition will take place as scheduled – conditions of adaptive quarantine allow it, holding of mass events with all sanitary requirements put in place will not be forbidden;
- Visiting of the exhibition and participation in it are safe – following recommendations of Ministry of Health and UFI we have developed a number of effective rules and safety norms, which we will recommend our visitors and exhibitors to abide by;
- Understanding that global quarantine hit the market severely, we made a flexible package of anti-crisis prices for our regular clients, and the business program of the exhibition will offer to our exhibitors and visitors more anti-crisis cases from experience of Ukrainian companies and will demonstrate tools and programs that support and facilitate business development.
Therefore, from September 30 to October 3 we will be waiting for you in the International Exhibition Centre (15 Brovarskyi Ave., Livoberezhna metro station). As usual, the main thematic sections of the exhibition are: furniture, accessories, components, décor, lighting, textile and window décor. Traditionally, large expositions of textile and lighting will bring together the strongest Ukrainian companies, which will demonstrate domestic products, and those by famous international brands.
