Totals of the exhibitions Design Living Tendency and МТКТ

5-8 of October 2011 two major exhibitions in the area of interior furnishing, furniture technologies and components took place in Kyiv: Design Living Tendency and MTKT (Furniture Technologies, Components, Textiles).

Over 17 000,00 specialists from Ukraine and other countries visited the exhibitions, among them: directors of furniture companies, designers, architects, representatives of the companies dealing with sales of furniture, décor, components, floor coverings and lighting fixtures, retail representatives.

Total exhibition area is over 16 000,00 sqm.

Participants and partners of the exhibitions – leaders of the market of furniture, components, accessories and décor objects: Insite, Ekmi-Mebel, Livs, PinskDrevArtel and many others. Total number of exhibitors is 305 from Ukraine, Russia, Germany, Belarus, Turkey, India, Poland and China.

Grandiose installation and communication area of the exhibition was Theatre of Modern Design.

27 authors’ objects from the best Ukrainian and foreign designers and architects were demonstrated on the vertical stage of the Theatre of Modern Design as well as 20 different scenarios of different objects interaction in interior.

Every day presentations of the participants of the installation and a lot of interesting events took place at the stage of the Theatre of Modern Design. They combined both, theory and practice in design sector and no one of the exhibition visitors left unimpressed.

Solemn awarding ceremony of the participants of the Theatre of modern Design took place on the 8^th of October. Participants of the program Ukrainian Design Days in Milan were also awarded with certificates. Within this program, Ukrainian designers and buyers attended training on the basis of the University Politechnico de Milano and visited Macef exhibition.

For the first time in Ukraine famous European designers:  Mr. Francesco Iannoni, Mr. Giovanni Traverso and Mr. Francesco Lucchese shared their professional secrets of the creation of interior lighting projects during the workshop Art-Sleep. They held exclusive master-classes for their Ukrainian colleagues and exhibition guests.

Range of products represented at the exhibitions: furniture, décor objects, lighting fixtures, carpets and other carpet coverings, textiles, components and accessories for furniture, sun protection systems, mattresses and many others.

The exhibitions took place at the KyivExpoPlaza exhibition center (2B, Saliutna Str., Kyiv, Ukraine).
